'Cyanotype' (also known as 'blue print' or 'sun print'), is an alternative historical photographic process. It was invented in 1842 by Sir John Herschel when he discovered that ferric salts could be combined to create a light sensitive coating to transfer images. This basic recipe hasn't changed much since that time. I love using this particular process due to it's inexpensive, safe and simple method of application and the beautiful unique results.
